Do You Ever Wonder?

DO YOU EVER WONDER……

….. what is happening to our society?

….. get distressed or frightened when you take a good look at what is taking place all around you?

….. what happened to morality in our country?

….. why so much pornography, homosexuality and abortions in our land?

….. why so much bad language, sex, violence and occult activity on television?

….. if the Bible is true?

….. why so much occult practices in the Church of the Living God?

….. why there is so little of God’s truth preached in Christian churches today and so much false teaching taught?

Do we really wonder about these things or are we just too busy? These things we wonder about are signs that our world, as we know it, is coming to an end. The following will tell you how you can dwell in a world gone crazy and still have peace in your heart.

DO YOU KNOW……

….. that happenings in the world are really unfolding according to Bible prophecy?

….. that earthquakes, floods, famine, pestilence and moral decline are the first signs of Jesus’ imminent return? (Matt. 24:6-8, Mk. 13:6-8, Lk. 21:8-11, Lk. 17:26-27).

….. we really are headed for a “one world system” which will be a global government, court, religious and economic system?

….. this “one world system” will be controlled by a man the Bible calls “the antichrist”?

….. only those who have repented and accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord will live in eternity with Him?

….. that those that serve, honor and obey the antichrist will, according to the Bible, spend eternity in hell?

CONSIDER THIS!

There are many things in this world we wonder about and many more that we do not know and will never know. For instance, we do not know when our life on this earth will end. Many lives are snuffed out every day.

Many wonder about a world that seems to be out of control. Once again too many have access to the “nuclear button” that could wipe mankind from the face of the earth. The only peace available about that situation is that this world, universe and plan are under God’s control. It will not end until He “pushes the button”.

Other things people wonder and worry about are many. Drug and alcohol addiction is an ever present evil. Drugs flow through out streets like a river. The crime rate keeps going up. It does not seem to be safe anywhere. Now in the last few years we hear of a thing called “road rage” which causes people to shoot others if they do something on the road others do not like. We dare not even look at other drivers for fear of making them angry. Ever wonder why? We hear of men breaking into houses and committing robbery or sexual assault on a regular basis. If we take a good look around it is easy to see that the government and law enforcement agencies are gaining more and more control. Our liberty and rights are rapidly being taken away all in the quise of good. Do you wonder about all these things?

There are disasters such as floods, earthquakes, droughts and violent storms that have wiped out possessions people labored all their lives to gain. Over night they are impoverished. As we wonder about some of these things that are happening to us or around the world, we see and feel a depressing future. The Bible tells us these things will happen in Matt. 24:3-8 and Mark 13:3-8.

”And as he (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

All this paints a very grievous, oppressive and frightening picture. But the most regrettable thing about this sad picture is, out of all the hardships, sicknesses, crime and other happenings in this life, few give a thought to where they will spend the next life. Do you wonder where you will spend eternity?

I believe God’s judgment has fallen on America and people need to repent. All Christians, preachers and teachers alike, should be reaching out to those who do not know Jesus as their Savior and Lord. God’s message for this hour, in which we live, is not the prosperity message, but a message that says, “Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand. Jesus loves you and this message is the one that will give hope to a lost and dying world.

THEY BLEW IT!!

Let me go back to the beginning and perhaps we can put that wonder spirit to rest. God created Adam and Eve, the first humans, and placed them in the Garden of Eden. Their purpose was to fellowship and worship the Living God, Jehovah, the Eternal One. It was in this Garden of Eden that Satan entered and tempted Adam and Eve and caused them to turn their loyalty from Jehovah God to himself. Since Adam and Eve, from a free will, turned their allegiance to Satan, they were forced to leave the Garden of Eden. Now Satan is god of this world for an allotted time.

From that one act of treasonous disobedience, mankind is now born into a sinful and rebellious nature. Each and every person is now separated from God because of this sinful nature. So God, in His mercy, sent His only Son to be a sacrifice that would rescue His creation and restore the broken fellowship. (John 3:16).

Satan’s allotted time as god of this world is fast coming to a close. One day soon now Jesus will return for those who are living for Him. During this allotted time many are preaching the gospel. This gospel is the message that Jesus Christ redeemed mankind and all that will repent and accept Him as Savior and Lord will live eternally with Him. But many are rejecting this message. Why? Well, let’s look to the Bible for our answer. You will not have to wonder any longer. You will have Biblical answers.

”But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world (Satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine unto them.”(I Cor. 4:3-4)

The reason many turn away from the gospel of Jesus Christ is because Satan, the god of this world, blinds them to the truth found in the Bible. Many Christians, are blinded by him and that is the reason many are following false prophets and teachers. Fame and fortune are great bargaining tools of Satan. Many preachers and teachers have fallen victim to the promise of fame and fortune. Everyone Satan can blind to the truth causing them to follow something else, whether it is fame and fortune or false doctrine, are worshipping Satan whether they realize it or not. Satan desires to be worshipped even if he has to accept it in a round about way. Following the teachings of false teachers and prophets is giving Satan that worship he desires so much.

If you are a born again Christian, perhaps it is time to think about things like; am I really seeking God’s truth; am I really living to please my Lord; am I really obeying Him or doing things my way?

First Peter tells us,

”For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”

And Second Thessalonians says in chapter 1, verses 7-8,

”…the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

JESUS FIXED IT!!

Jesus said in John 14:6,

”I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father (God, Jehovah) but by me.”

You see, accepting Jesus as your personal Savior and obeying Him as Lord is the only way to be saved; the only way to right standing with God; the only way to share eternity with Jesus in Heaven. No other religion can offer you this. No self-motivation, self-esteem or success in this life will give you eternal life with Jesus. There is absolutely no way you can do it by yourself, apart from Jesus. You must admit you are a sinner and ask forgiveness and then accept Jesus into your heart and live a life obedient to Him. Studying God's Word will help you to wonder no more.

My heart cries for those who are lost and blinded by the god of this world. Jesus loves each and every person on this earth and He died for them. If you were the only person who ever lived, Jesus would still have come in the flesh, died on a cross, arose from the dead, just for you. He is now occupying the throne at God’s right hand as the eternal sacrifice. But understand this, the fact that He loves you will not cancel the eternal punishment that will be dealt to you if you do not accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord. He knew many would not accept His way, for He said in Matt. 7:13-14,

”Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

The Word of God also says in I John 2:15-17,

”Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof. But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.”

One cannot stop the human race from plunging into utter disaster and eventual destruction. Did God not warn us in His Word about the end time sorrows, troubles and a time of final destruction? (Matt. 24). It matters not what man thinks is going to happen in the future. God’s Word is final authority and will come to pass just as it is written. No need to wonder about that any longer.

With what is happening in the world today, such as I have mentioned, isn’t it time we all thought about where we will spend eternity? If you are not saved (have never repented of your past sins and accepted Jesus as your Savior) then perhaps it is time for you to consider your future residence.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

The Lord is longsuffering towards us. He does not want any to perish. He wants all to come to repentance and accept Him. (II Peter 3:9).

The Word of God does say in I Thess. 5:2 that,

”…the day of the Lord (His coming to gather those who are living for Him) so cometh as a thief in the night.”

That means He will come and catch many unaware and not ready to meet Him. Second Thessalonians goes on to say in verse 3,

”For when they shall say, peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”

Again, I ask you to seriously consider where you stand in your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. God has provided a way,

THAT WAY IS JESUS CHRIST!!

The Bible foretold His first coming and it came to pass. He came exactly as it was foretold. The Bible also foretells of His coming again at an hour when we know not. Just as surely as His first coming came to pass, His second coming will come to pass.
