Email Message 1
August 07, 2011
|Greetings in the Name of Jesus
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Sending short gospel messages on emails is a new venture for me, so I have decided that John 3:16 is a very good place to start.
I wish you well today and hope you enjoy the following message.
Many people don't read the Bible, but they still know John 3:16 which says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Do you know that the "whosoever" means you and me. I have walked with the Lord for a lot of years and He has been so good to me. There have been times when He led me, by His Spirit, step by step through good times and bad. Just because one is a Christian does not mean their life is without the same problems, situations and sorrows as those who have not been saved or born again. It just means that those who are saved have the comfort and leadership of a loving Savior. If one is saved and does not have that comfort and leadership, it simply means they are not trusting the Lord. Their faith is either weak or they choose to walk in their own abilities.
I am writing this because time as we know it is fast coming to an end. Times are getting very hard and will get harder. People are losing their homes and jobs and many don't know where to turn. My Pastor said the same thing recently. He also said God would meet our need but we might have to pray it in. But that is only for those who know Jesus and are trusting Him. They know how to pray. And I want to make something very clear. Being a Christian is certainly no guarantee that one will not see hard times. Some Christians may have to die for Christ, I don't know. But one thing I do know is that when we die, however that may happen, we will be in heaven for all eternity.
Heaven is where I want to spend eternity. How about you? Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Can you rest on the fact that heaven will be your final home? Do you have that peace and assurance? If you do that is wonderful. If you don't and would like to, then you can bow you head now and do the following:
Tell Jesus you are sorry you have sinned against Him, that you are sorry for all your sins. Ask Him to forgive you and then ask Him to come into your heart and be your Savior and Lord. If you meant that with all your heart He has already entered your heart. You are now a child of God and you must read His Word called the Bible and learn about Him and how you should grow as a Christian and learn to trust Him with all your heart.
What precious love God has that He would send His Son to die on a cross and shed His blood for you and me.
What precious love Jesus has that He was willing to die on that cross and shed His blood for you and me.
God is good!
In His service,
P.S. If you know someone that would enjoy this message, please feel free to forward it.
