God So LovedGod so loved………John 3:16,
What does, “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son” mean? He Gave His Son for what or to whom? It means He gave His only begotten Son to be sacrificed for a rebellious, sinful people that hated Him. If you have read any of my messages you know that God made Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. Then Satan as a serpent entered that garden and caused Adam and Eve to sin or disobey God, therefore betraying God and were cast out of the Garden of Eden. Therefore everyone is born with a sinful nature and Satan is their father (John 8:41-47). Ephesians 2:1-7 says,
Men and women are sinners by nature being born in sin. If you are born in sin then you have a sin nature. You are not a sinner because you sin, you sin because you are born in sin and therefore are a sinner. This is why we need a Savior. God so loved His creation that something had to be done to redeem them. That is the reason for John 3:16 above. It explains how much God loved us. I wish each reader would stop right now and think, “who do I love enough to sacrifice my children for?” God’s capacity to love is so much greater than humans. In fact, His ability to love is such that First John 4:16 says, “God is love”. God so loved me that He gave His only begotten Son to die for me, but there is a condition. As the Holy Spirit woos my spirit I had a decision to make. Would I accept this begotten Son, Jesus, and His sacrifice for the forgiveness of my sins, or would I refuse it. I made the right decision. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. God so loved you that He gave His only begotten Son to die for you, but there is a condition. As the Holy Spirit woos your spirit you have a decision to make. Will you accept this begotten Son, Jesus, and His sacrifice for the forgiveness of your sins, or will you refuse it? God so loved me that He allowed those who hated His Son to beat Him bloody for my healing. God allowed sinners to force His Son to bear His cross on His bloody back up a hill to Golgotha and then hung Him on that cross for me. God so loved you that He allowed those who hated His Son to beat Him bloody for your healing. God allowed sinners to force His Son to bear His cross on His bloody back up a hill to Golgotha and then hung Him on that cross for you. God so loved me that as a Roman soldier took his spear and thrust it in the side of His Son, Jesus, it pierced His heart and as the blood run down that cross, forgiveness was purchased for me and you. That blood was shed for a world of rebels that hated God and wanted no part of Him. But God so loved that He sent His Son, Jesus, to shed His blood to redeem His creation. Upon His death He was placed in a borrowed tomb and was raised from the dead and is now seated at the Father’s right hand ever making intersession for me and you. God’s Word says in Romans 4:7-8,
If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and are walking obedient to Him then you are covered with His precious blood and your sins are forgiven. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can right now. Just bow your head and tell Him you are sorry you have sinned against Him and ask Him to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior. He will. AMEN! ![]() ![]() |
