Revival means renewal, revitalization, to be activated, new beginning, recharged. That is why I say revival must start in our own hearts before we can see any results. A revival will always bring the Holy Spirit's concentration on saving lost souls.
"No matter what kind of manisfestions you see in a so called revival, it is not a true move of God unless focused on the harvest of souls. The evidence of revival is the Holy Spirit turning people to thrist for lost souls and a hunger for God's Word." (David Wilkerson).
Also repentance is always a good thing. It clears the path to Jesus and makes our prayers heard. Repentance means we are sorry for something we have done and we are confessing it to Jesus and asking Him to forgive us. And you know what? He will, the instant we ask for that forgiveness. Then we can trust Jesus to manifest His power in our lives. I like that power manifested in my life, how about you?
Repentance is also more than turning around and going back to God or clearing the path to Jesus. It is a full surrender of our self to God's control in our lives. This also means our will. Our will is the hardest thing we will ever turn over to God's control, but it will make your life a joy and a blessing. I speak this from experience. To place our lives under Jesus's control is a very pleasing thing to Him. I also want to please Him, how about you?
"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Matthew 24:12
That means that sin will be raging furiously in our world and many, Christians alike, will be turning from God.
"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."Matthew 24:11
How many are among the deceived? I don't want to be deceived, how about you?
I believe false prophets in their false churches preaching their false gospel are praying to their demonic cohorts for a revival of evil. My Bible says many false prophets will arise in the last days and decieve many The many are blinded and deceived and we must pray for revival. This is the last days and Jesus could return any time. Think about the many going to hell because we did not pray for revival.
No one wants to fast because it becomes uncomfortable and is hard work. But fasting and prayer are the quickest way to become sensitive to the Holy Spirit. If we want to get close to the Holy Spirit and hear His voice, then we should fast when we pray. I understand that many cannot fast for medical reasons and God understands this, so only do what you feel God is asking you to.
1"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." 1 Tim.2:1-6
7 "Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" Heb. 5:7-9
"For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." 1 Peter 3:12
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Matthew 6:6
6 "Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward. 9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; 10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: 11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not." Isaiah 58:6-11
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. Acts 13:2-3
These are all excellant Scriptures to learn how to become sensitive to the Holy Spirit. But first one needs to be baptized in the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-5 and 8. Then the Holy Spirit will be living in you in baptismal measure.
I wish for a revival in your heart for lost souls"
God Bless You!
