God Said, "No"

I asked God to take away my pride,
and God said, "No."
He said it was not for him to take away,
but for me to give up.

I asked God to grant me patience,
and God said, "No."
He said that patience is a by-product of
tribulation.  It is earned, not granted.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole,
and God said, "No."
He said:  Her spirit is whole,
Her body is temporary.

I asked God to give me happiness,
and God said, "No."
He said:  I give blessings.
Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain,
and God said, "No."
He said: Suffering draws you apart from
worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow,
and God said, "No."
He said: You must grow on your own.
I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God whether he loved me,
and God said, "Yes."
He said He gave His only Son to die for me,
and I will be in heaven someday
because I believe in Him.

I asked God to help me love others as much as he loves me,
and God said:  NOW YOU HAVE THE IDEA.

Lookup a word or passage in the Bible

A woman was asked by a coworker, "What is it like to be a Christian?" The coworker replied, "It is like being a pumpkin, God picks you from the patch, brings you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. Then he cuts off the top and scoops out all the yucky stuff. He removes the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc., and then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside of you to shine for all the world to see."

I wish for you understanding of God and an acceptance of His ways

God Bless You!
