Faith!
What is the right kind?
How much is enough?
What is Faith!! That is something so few understand. It
sounds so simple to just believe but many times we have circumstances
or symptoms staring us in the face that seems to shrink our faith until
we wonder if we have any at all. Yet Jesus said that if we have faith
the size of a mustard seed we could move mountains and nothing would be
impossible to us. (Matt. 17:20-21). A mustard seed is about the size of
a pin head. Do you ever wonder why we fail so much of the time in our
faith life?
I believe it is because we are not taught how to have
faith and what or Who we should have faith in. It seems spiritual
leaders of today are quick to tell us we did not have the right kind of
faith or we did not have enough. I don’t believe it takes an ounce of
faith for some things and a pound of faith for something else. I know
that sounds foolish but to gauge faith as certain kinds or certain
quantities is ridiculous.
As born-again children of God, we must understand that
the Bible is a Holy Spirit inspired book for our spiritual welfare. In
it we are commanded to live by faith, not by sight. To do that means we
trust God. God will not honor faith placed in something His Word does
not say.
I believe this book will answer a lot of questions about
why many feel like they are failing in their faith life. Remember…..
Faith placed in anything other than total
truth
will
not accomplish desired results.
